1. Compressed Air Intake: Standard compressed air enters the generator system from an external compressor. It passes through high-efficiency filters to remove oil, water droplets, and particulate matter.
2. The Separation Module: The clean air is directed into a specialized module containing thousands of microscopic, hollow polymer fibres. These fibres act as a precise molecular sieve.
3. Selective Permeation ("Fast" vs. "Slow" Gases): The separation relies on the principle of selective permeation. The polymer material allows different gases to pass through its walls at varying speeds:
   • "Fast" Gases: Oxygen ($O_2$), carbon dioxide ($CO_2$), and water vapour ($H_2O$) permeate through the sides of the fibre walls quickly. They are collected and safely vented out into the atmosphere as waste gas.
   • "Slow" Gases: Nitrogen ($N_2$) permeates through the polymer walls very slowly. Because it cannot easily escape through the sides, the nitrogen gas is forced to travel straight through the center of the fibres.
4. Continuous Pure Output: The nitrogen emerges from the end of the module at high velocity. It is collected in a storage receiver tank, ready for immediate, high-purity deployment.
